The Ministry of Water and Environment is researching on the contribution of water towards Uganda’s total wealth.
The Water Ministry is working jointly with the Ministry of Health, Water Aid and World Vision to release a report after the research in the first quarter of 2018.
Recently, the Minister of Water and Environment, Sam Cheptoris called on people selling water to rate it at 50 shillings per 20 liters to increase water access across the country.
According to the World Health Organisation, over 2.2 billion people worldwide do not have enough clean water to meet their daily needs.
