A holiday tennis clinic today climaxed at the Makerere University tennis courts, with over 90 kids gaining skills from the week-long training.
Grooming and tapping raw talent were high on the agenda at the clinic under the guidance of veteran tennis player Charles Senyange of Tena Academy.
Participating players were classified in the categories of U8, U10, U12, U14, U16 and U18. Players were taken through basic skills of playing tennis and held test matches at the climax.
Organizers were targeting school-going children to promote the sport. Tena Academy, working in partnership with Uganda Lawn Tennis Association, have set their sights on discovering more Duncan Mugabes for a bright tennis future in the country.
