- UCU suspended the students in May over a planned demonstration
High Court in Jinja is today set to hear a case in which two students are suing Uganda Christian University over unfair suspension.
Simon Semuwemba and Yasin Sentumbwe, a former president of the University’s law society say they were not given a fair hearing by the university displinary committee following an attempted demonstration over tuition increment.
The duo was expelled in May for allegedly violating the university’s policy on demonstrations.
