The U.N. and its partners are struggling to feed thousands of South Sudan refugees who have fled into Uganda following a fresh outbreak of violence close to two months back.
U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi, during a visit to a transit center in Adjumani District on Monday hailed Uganda’s refugee policy in light of the South Sudan conflict but warned of a likely outbreak of epidemic diseases due to the refuge upsurge.
About 70,000 refugees have reportedly fled into Uganda.
