The National Planning Authority (NPA) says the country’s ambitious projects will see Ugandans pay more money in the coming years to enable government fund projects aimed at improving service delivery.

The Executive Director NPA, Dr Joseph Muvawala projects that Uganda’s public spending will go up by 23 percent of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in coming years.

He adds that the country’s fiscal policy has generally been ambitious and expansionary over the past decade in support of the National Development Plan and Vision 2040 with the National Budget reaching Shs26.3 trillion.
