- Hajj pilgrims reach site of deadly 2015 stampede
- Order and visible security detail at stoning the devil ritual
- Over 700 were killed and nearly 900 injured in 2015 stampede
Muslim pilgrims in Saudi Arabia have today reached Mina for the ritual stoning of the devil.
Over 1.5 million pilgrims have made their way back from Arafat where they spent the night in prayers and picking small pebbles and stones ahead of the ritual.
There was visible security detail to guide the pilgrims to the ritual site to avoid a devastating re-occurrence of last year’s hajji. More than 700 people were killed and nearly 900 injured others in a stampede last year.
