Uganda Investment Authority has launched a 5-year strategic plan expected to create 1 million jobs by 2020 and also encourage business linkages between Irish and Ugandan companies and institutions.
This comes as the two countries signed a deal to boost bi-lateral trade with key sectors to be promoted being agro-processing, tourism, ICT, aviation and pharmaceuticals.
The Executive Director UIA Eng. Frank Ssebowa however says its important government trains more youth to ably take up the jobs once created.
