The NRM commissioner Jane Alisemera has advised members of the opposition parties to seek for a dialogue with the ruling party in order to have their grievances addressed.
The commissioner made the remarks during a public dialogue organized by Citizen Coalition for Election Democracy in Uganda.
Speaking at the post-election reflection forum under the theme recasting the political and electoral reform agenda coalition for electoral democracy, the NRM commissioner noted that defiance would not resolve the grievances raised by the opposition.
The CCEDU team notes that the 2016 elections were marred by irregularities mostly in the districts of Bundibujjo, Jinja, and Buikwe among other places.
But the lord mayor recommends that civil society organizations focus on political reforms rather than legal reforms.
