Academic staffs at Makerere University Business School are protesting the government decision to turn the university into a degree awarding institution.
The chairperson of MUBASA, Dr. Isaac Wazige says the status is a disgrace to the institution and has a number of implications including loss of credibility and loss of students.
In My 205, government made a proposal to name MUBs a degree-awarding institution. Lecturers have vowed to do anything in their capacity to compel the concerned bodies to maintain university status.
