- Mukono Police Station drops cases of libel and assault
Mukono Police station has dropped cases of libel and assault filed by junior water minister Ronald Kibuule and a Stanbic Bank Mukono security officer, Hellen Obuku.
This is after family members of both parties decided to bury the hatchet in a reconciliation meeting held at Colline Hotel, Mukono on Thursday evening.
Obuku’s sister told the meeting that as a Christian family they believe in forgiveness and that they do not want the incident to ruin their sister’s future.
Both Kibuule and Obuku did not attend the meeting. Government has however put up a committee to probe Kibuule’s alleged actions.
