- Tens of thousands protest against Temer Government
- New president, Michel Temer accused of plotting coup
- Thousands show support for sacked president Dilma Rousseff
Tens of thousands of people have taken to the streets in Brazil to demonstrate against the new government.
Reports say a record 50,000 people have turned out in Sao Paulo alone for a seventh day of protests after Dilma Rousseff was removed from the presidency in an impeachment trial last Wednesday.
Temer, who after being sworn in promptly travelled to China for the G20 summit dismissed the protests as being done by “small groups and predators.” Police have fired teargas to disperse the protestors.
