Some supporters of David Mwotta have refused to take part in the guild presidential re-election at the Makerere University School of Education. One of the supporters of David Mwotta has been arrested for allegedly trying to stuff ballot boxes.
Thousands of students have taken part in a re-election to determine the university’s legitimate guild president after March election results were cancelled over irregularities.
The election exercise has been largely peaceful though police deployment remains heavy.
