- Kampala minister Beti Kamya defends Kampala City festival budget
- Sh800 million for preparations is not tax payers’ money – Kamya
- 5th Kampala City festival kicks off tomorrow with motor rallies
Kampala minister Beti Kamya has defended the Sh800 million which KCCA is spending on arrangements of the Kampala City festival.
She has clarified that this is not tax payers’ money but rather was provided by the festival sponsors with the major intention of freely advertising their products on the D-day.
Kamya was responding to the section of the public outcry that was suggesting this money should have been invested in other key areas instead of being ‘wasted’ on the festival.
Pre-festival activities kick off tomorrow with the motor rallies at Nakawa –Naguru estates.
