The Uganda Investment Authority has confirmed having cancelled 125 land titles of prospective investors and reallocated them to other deserving companies.

According to the Board Chairman UIA, the 125 title owners had failed to put up the industries even after an agreed three-year grace period.

Meanwhile, Kampala Industrial and Business Park, a 2200 acre facility, has all of it allocated to 280 industries. However, only 30 of these are operational and employ over 11,000 people.
