Algeria, Egypt and Angola have taken command lead in day four of the African Individual Chess Championship at Tick Hotel here in Kampala.

International master Arthur Ssegwanyi is the only Ugandan with a slot in the top 10 players in the 32 players open category.

Team Uganda’s better performer, Harold Wanyama edged out Kenya’s James Madol Panchol to land slot in the 15th position.

The two-week championship will climax on Tuesday, July 26th.
