The Uganda bureau of statistic has reported increased inflation of foodstuffs from 3.1 in June to 3.5% in July. The rise is reportedly as a result of a fall in the supply of food especially vegetables and the fall in the prices of fuel among other factors

According to Principle price statistician, Vincent Nsubuga, the gradual rise of food inflation is an indication that most of these products are to become scarce and more expensive with time.
