The Uganda under 18 women basketball team has confirmed, at the last hour, participation in the FIBA Africa Zone 5 championship.
National Council of Sports has rescued the 14 member contingent with air tickets and accommodation for five out of the eight players on the team traveling this Friday morning.
12 nations will take part in the championship set to start tomorrow 26th August up to 4th September in Egypt’s capital, Cairo.
The top two teams will qualify for the 2017 FIBA World championship.
