On Wednesday 30th May, 2019, Urban TV’s power-packed dancing competition was boosted by yet another sponsorship with Fanta coming on board. The fruit-flavored carbonated drinks brand created by The Coca-Cola Company now joins Softex as sponsors of the show.
“Dance Off” is a reality TV show which started in April this year, with an objective to maximize group and individual talent by appreciating these extraordinary “winners”. Urban TV have put in place up to UGX 50 million in cash prizes. The winning crew will bag a whooping UGX 30M, while the first & second runners-up will bag UGX 15M & UGX 5M respectively.
Eric Muyanja, the Vision Group Sales Manager for Television says he is glad to have Fanta on board.
“Fanta are a leading brand among the youths, who also happen to be our core audience. That they trust our project enough to invest this kind of money in it says something much about dance as a budding industry & further re-energises us going forward,” Muyanja said.
Urban TV Content Manager, Susan Kavuma, is elated about the sponsorship. She says, “Our top 10 crews that will make it into the boot camp will also get to enjoy these products, which means they will enjoy their experience with us even more!” Kavuma also adds that she is optimistic more will come on board, “I expect even more sales for us going forward, which should also mean more sales for Fanta. I am even more sure now that more companies will join us on this journey”
“Dance Off” continues to air on Urban Television Monday to Saturday at 7pm for 15 minutes and Sunday for 1 hour at 7pm.
