Six drivers have been arrested and locked up in by the Head of Traffic in Mukono District for operating without valid driving permits.
The arrest follows the staging of a check point along Walusubi in Namawojolo on Jinja Highway as Police intensify the crackdown on reckless drivers to curb road accidents.
According Head of Traffic Mukono Moses Sonko the operations are aimed at fore warning the drivers to get ready for safe driving ahead of the festival season.
The campaign is also cracking down on over loading and drink-driving.
