Constitutional court has adjourned the hearing of the defiance petition that was filed against the jailed FDC leader Dr. Kizza Besigye and the FDC party to the 24th of June following the absence of two of the five judges.

FDC lawyer, Ladislaus Rwakafunzi says the adjournments are an intentional infringement on the rights of FDC official and supporters.  He thus requests that court should issue a production warrant for Besigye so that he can witness the hearing on 24th.

The petition sesks to extend a ban on the opposition party’s planned country wide demonstrations against the February presidential elections results and the FDC Tuesday prayers.
