- Amended PPDA Act to deal with suppliers who forge documents
- Document forgery to win tenders high despite sensitization – CAA
- 50% of the tenders currently taken by foreign companies
The Civil Aviation Authority has decried the rampant cases of forgery by local suppliers seeking to win tenders to supply the airport.
Addressing suppliers at the 5th annual supplier’s meeting, the Procurement Officer CAA, Godfrey Matovu noted that forged documents in tax incomes, bonds, books of account and generally non-compliance of the set rules.
He says they have now tightened the procurement process as stipulated in the amended Public Procurement and Disposal of Assets to stem out the culprits.
