570 adolescents mostly girls between the ages of 10 and 24 catch HIV/AIDs weekly; this is according to the Uganda Aids Commission.
However the UN has hailed Uganda as the most responsive country in the fight against HIV in Sub-Saharan Africa in the last five years.
The out-going country director of UNAIDs Musa Bungudu says Uganda government has made impressive gains in averting the number of new HIV/AIDs infections by 86% and reducing HIV/AIDs related deaths by more than half.
