The Police Disciplinary Court has banned journalists from using cameras during the trial of the police officers accused of assaulting Kiiza Besigye’s supporters earlier this month in Najjanankumbi.

The presiding chairperson SSP Denis Odongpiny said the suspects had earlier filed a request to have the case heard in camera with an argument that exposing them is risky.

Thus this morning he ruled that if journalists are to attend the proceedings, they should do so without cameras.
